Rare and beautiful set of four early 19th-century American copper wheel engraved small tumblers or shot glasses. Gorgeous engraved scrollwork of interlocking vines and two peace doves flanking an urn. Glasses measure 2 3/8 high. All four in excellent condition save for a few teeny, teeny (I mean teeny) fleabites to rim, otherwise no chips or cracks. Very scarce - work of this caliber and delicacy is normally found on flip vases and large drinking glasses, but I've never seen it in a smaller format, and I could not find any other examples online.
